For the enthusiast looking for the best snow available, it's difficult to beat Val Thorens, Europes highest ski resort (2300m). Open from late November through to early May, Val Thorens consistently delivers a unique blend of extreme holiday experiences with breathtaking scenery. With excellent on and off piste skiing and a variety of nightlife from booming bars and fast food outlets in the upper part of the village, to cosy eateries in the lower part which now boasts an array of Michelin-starred restaurants, VT really has got it all!!

Val Thorens with its guaranteed snow sure pistes make this a great resort from which to explore the rest of the Three Vallees. Les Menuires and St Martin de Belleville located within the same valley and Orelle situated in the Maurienne valley are also accessible very easily. The skiing in Val Thorens is truly suited to all tastes and abilities.

The village has diversified over recent years to compete with the likes of Courchevel 1850 and now you will find a respectable choice of up market hotels and eateries with an array of 4* and 5* hotels and Michelin starred restaurants.
