Brides-les-Bains is a traditional Spa town set right at the foot of the valley with a Gondola linking it directly to the foot of the pistes in the centre of Meribel so technically it should be considered as part of the Meribel valley. As with all French Spa towns it has a fairly calm laid back feel to it and it is actually busier in the Summer than in the Winter however it is growing in popularity for skiers every year as we see more and more ski transfer bookings coming in. Whilst often overlooked it should not be underestimated as it boasts 16 hotels most of which have their own restaurant and bar as well as a reasonable selection of independent restaurants and bars catering for all tastes and pockets. Like all French Spa towns it also has a casino and below the casino you will find a nightclub which hosts some great theme nights. To get around resort there is a free shuttle although it's fairly easy to access everything the town has to offer with only a short stroll.

The skiing can be accessed directly by a very long gondola ride to the piste front in Meribel. From here you can access the vast Three Valleys ski area and afford to over indulge yourself with a long mountain lunch with the money you've just saved as Brides accommodation is generally cheaper that you'll find in the rest of the Three Valleys.

To summarise Brides-les-Bains, it offers excellent value for money in a relaxed environment with access to the biggest ski area in the world.
